The Birth of ChakraEssence

Shortly after my 50th birthday, ChakraEssence was born: a combination of the decades of experience I have working with and educating others about the healing energies of the chakras; my renewed passion for the incredible healing "medicine" of pure therapeutic grade essential oils and my late-blooming awareness of the use of toxins in so-called natural (nature-based), aromatherapy skin care products (Augh!). The quest was issued and I became obsessed with locating all natural, paraben-free, animal cruelty-free and environmentally friendly products that didn’t require a second mortgage on my house to afford!!! (or require storage space in the refrigerator… although there are some fantastic, exquisitely pure products of the latter genre!)

Thus my research began and a whole new world has opened up to me; one that I never thought I’d be a part of: skin-care products or "Self-care Goodies" as I now lovingly refer to them! It’s as if a fire has been lit in my belly and while being very guided along the way, ChakraEssence has taken on a life of its own! It’s in perfect alignment with my vision of guiding myself and others to "take loving and nurturing care" of body, mind and spirit by remembering that the first step to living a balanced life is making Self-care and nurturing a priority, not a luxury.

I wanted to provide more than lovely, natural products that smell good. Being a healer, I of course, also wanted to provide an opportunity to restore and maintain health and wellness. I knew I had to offer products that could assist in the balancing, restoring and energizing of the chakra system. And that is the vision of ChakraEssence: empowering others in the art of Self-Care, restoring balance and harmony while also "raising the vibrations" of the energy centers and thus assisting in the healing of our beloved Mother Earth. Quite a lofty vision, I must admit, yet since undertaking this quest, I have been blessed to meet some of the most beautiful, powerful, giving and Spirit-filled women who share similar visions and who deeply touch my heart and soul. Throughout the website you will see links and/or references to these amazing sisters!

Whether you are already a master aromatherapist, energy worker, massage therapist or cosmetologist, I believe there is something for you on this website. I’ve provided a Chakra Quiz (based on the diagnostic from my book, The ABC’s of Chakra Therapy) to educate you on the functions of each chakra as well as more in depth information on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual issues related to each of the chakras; I’ve provided a list of the commonly used toxins in cosmetics and a brief overview of Aromatherapy and the incredible, healing medicine of Essential Oils.

Currently I blend each product personally and by hand, mindfully holding a loving and healing consciousness as I "create". It is a tremendous honor to share this with you.

I will continue my research and pledge to offer safe, natural and organic self-care products (blended with the highest quality therapeutic grade essential oils for a healing touch) to support in this effort. The body skin care line is custom designed with your personal health and well-being in mind!

It is my intention to work with a variety of companies who manufacture natural, safe and organic products so that I do not represent one lone entity. There are several wonderful companies available to choose from and I wish to remain neutral / unbiased as I research and decide which ones are in alignment with my vision.
